As we wake to the chill of early autumn mists and August draws to a close, it’s time to look back at what a memorable summer of weddings we’ve hosted at Scorrier. This season, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting an array of enchanting weddings, each unique in charm and elegance.
Our gardens have been a particular highlight this summer. Even the wet weather in June and July magically evaporated when setting up for weddings outside in the Walled Garden.
One of the most wonderful aspects of a summer wedding at Scorrier House is the opportunity to take full advantage of the beautiful weather. This season, we’ve seen couples embrace the outdoors in creative and delightful ways. From garden games on the lawns to cocktail hour in the pool garden with firepits and canapes.
Summer weddings at Scorrier House are a photographer’s dream. The soft, golden light of late afternoon and the vibrant colors of the gardens create endless opportunities for capturing stunning images. Many couples have taken advantage of the beautiful surroundings, choosing to have their photos taken in some of our most iconic spots, such as the walled garden, the ancient woodland or the bath!
As night falls our outdoor spaces come into their own with ferry lights and firepits. Guest love been able to sit and chat with friends new and old during the warm summer evenings.
And then, sparklers and fireworks! We’ve seen some spectacular fireworks displays this year, launched from the park in front of the house.
