As Storm Doris passes and winter turns into spring, so at Scorrier House we are planning for our major event of 2017:

The Great Estate. This “rambunctious garden fete” is a first for us, not over the many centuries that Scorrier House has stood here has it seen an event like this before. Of course there is still much to do before 2nd June, but we are already excited to welcome you through the secret garden into our great estate. Here is what we can reveal so far…

The lineup…

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN
Spanning 40 years of their cult music, they will be gracing the stage as your Saturday night headliners. We are expecting a truly classic set of iconic music, from ‘The Killing Moon’ to ‘Lips Like Sugar’ and ‘The Cutter’.

CRAIG CHARLES
Legendary BBC Radio 6 DJ, Funk and Soul Connoisseur will be hosting and programming the entire Sunday line up with a selection of his favourite live acts whilst spinning his own blend of Super Soul Sunday Tunes.

THE ELECTRIC SWING CIRCUS
A 6-piece fusion of saucy 20’s swing and stomping electro beats. With an explosive sound that reverberates back through time, with their own unique style of swing they always bring the party.

SHOWHAWK DUO
British guitarists Mikhail Asanovic and Jake Wright, collectively known as the Showhawk Duo, are sure to dazzle us with their guitar mastery. They frequently break down the barriers between acoustic and electronic music – just look at what they played on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

So with all these brilliant acts, why are we calling this a “garden fete” and not a music festival, you may ask. Simply look at the other attractions that will be dispersed throughout the Gardens and Estate. We are encouraging all ages to join us over the weekend so there is something for everyone…
